Since July 2021, S&K Mission Support has been delivering a comprehensive range of services to the USDA Forest Service under the National Technology and Development Program (NTDP). Our efforts align with the requirements of the Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) and the associated Project Management and NEPA Performance Work Statements.
At the NTDP office in Missoula, MT, our Project Manager provides vital technical support and operational services, managing multiple concurrent Technology and Development projects. This role involves evaluating project objectives, building and leading project teams, and ensuring effective communication while coordinating schedules. The Project Manager collaborates closely with NTDP leadership and program managers to monitor key performance indicators and fulfill reporting requirements that benefit NTDP and its sponsors, customers, and stakeholders.
In addition, our Laboratory Technician plays a crucial role in testing wildland fire chemicals for potential inclusion on the USDA Forest Service Qualified Products List. Responsibilities include preparing test samples, conducting experiments, collecting and analyzing data, calibrating equipment, and maintaining meticulous records and reports.
Our Laboratory Scientist further supports these efforts by evaluating wildland fire chemicals for qualification and conducting ongoing quality assurance testing. This includes designing experiments, developing testing protocols, researching alternative testing methods, and compiling results for internal review.
In San Dimas, CA, our General Clerk provides essential administrative and clerical support, handling front desk operations, recordkeeping, and scheduling. This role encompasses answering inquiries, managing conference room reservations, processing mail, and ensuring proper documentation of correspondence.
Through these integrated roles, S&K is dedicated to enhancing the USDA Forest Service’s capabilities and supporting their mission effectively.
